Well, when I made my first website I was not known about how to rank a site on search engines so I started researching on that. I came to one word, SEO. By that time I don't know what this means and how it works. After lots of research on this, I got this-

What is SEO

SEO is Search Engine Optimisation. It is a process that affects your website, blog, web page in the search engine such as Google, Bing or Yahoo which comes through organic, earned, or Natural results. In the normal way, most recent, and more frequently website appears in the search results list. SEO process helps you to rank your website on the first page of results. SEO considers what people searching for, how search engines work, keywords typed in the search engines, and what audience prefers. Optimisation of website involves editing content, doing HTML, Coding to increase its specific keywords and remove barriers to index activities in search engines.

How SEO works

In term "search engine optimisation", the search engine is any search engine such as Google uses crawler that surfs and gathers information about all content they found on the internet, which helps the engine to build an index. This index works on an algorithm that matches all the crawled data with query asked by the user.
Optimisation is where people write their all content and uploads on their sites are guessing that content and those sites up so search engines will easily understand what they're seeing and the users who arrive via search results will like what they are seeing.

Importance of SEO

• The most important thing for doing SEO is your competitor on the internet is doing SEO. If you are not moving forward and stuck on the ground that means you need to do SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) for your Website. So if you are webmaster I think its mandatory to do Search Engine Optimisation!
• If you have valuable content for users but your site is not on the top the search results then the valuable content is not helping you. Because major of users more likely to click on the top of 5 suggestions in the result pages, So for giving your valuable content to users your website has to be in top positions in the search engine.
• For the keywords, the user is searching for, if your site is present on top results it increases users trust on the website. People who find your website on search result are more likely to share it on social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or others.
• SEO is more cost-effective. Compared to the costs of online marketing forms such as purchasing leads, PPC advertising, Social media advertising, SEO provides more fair userbase and your presence in search engines. Your organic SEO helps you to grow your image, while PPC will drive more revenue and social media users, but its only for some period.

After working on SEO for your site for 2-3 months it gives measurable output and traffic on site increases. You have to know your budget, conversions, success failure, patience, or other wort knowing things. By this, you have a chance of understanding where you are going and know your limitations without wasting time and money.
